about alcorn
Alcorn Partners was founded by people who share a passion for building and investing in small-and-mid sized businesses, and who bring decades of diverse experiences and a unique approach. Our team has invested in and operated more than a dozen small-and-mid sized businesses across a variety of industries including aerospace, health care, real estate, manufacturing, industrial supplies, consumer products, services, and retail.
Alcorn sits at the intersection of patient capital, world-class business operators, and owners of enduringly profitable small-to-mid sized companies who are either looking to sell their business or partner with us to accelerate their growth. Alcorn strives to form uniquely beneficial partnerships across all three constituents.
The founders of Alcorn are the largest investors in every business we acquire or partner with, and our capital base is unique in this space – both in terms of how much we are looking to invest (over $250 million) and how flexible we can be in our approach. Importantly, our approach is very different than typical private investment firms in this space since we are neither interested in owning businesses for short periods of time nor do we need to raise capital for each investment. In fact, our capital is fully committed, readily available, and we want to find businesses we can own and build for up to 20 years.
At the end of the day, working in this space is, perhaps more so than in any other investment business, people-based. Alcorn’s team prides itself on creating principled partnerships based on mutual trust and shared values that deliver great outcomes for all stakeholders.

alcorn's portfolio
We acquire enduringly profitable businesses
Alcorn’s current portfolio includes a $50 million Ontario-based manufacturing company. The company was founded nearly 100 years ago and is a market leading business in a profitable niche with meaningful barriers to entry and a track record of consistent financial performance. Throughout the investment process, Alcorn worked with the selling shareholder and partnered with the company’s existing management team to seamlessly transition ownership without negatively impacting any key stakeholders.
Alcorn is actively searching for its next platform investment. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if there is anything you are working on or know about that could be a fit for our group.
